Things don’t always go quite the way I want them to. Take my marriage, for example. It became necessary for me to end it in July of 2011, after ten months. On the one hand, this was a very difficult to decision to make. On the other, it’s the closest I’ve ever come to keeping up with the Kardashians.
At age 40, I was suddenly spouse-less and living in my sister’s basement. As a lifelong fan of absurdity, I chose to find the humor in the whole thing and started this blog as a place to share my “splats.”
My first book, Good Luck With That Thing You’re Doing, debuted on Amazon.com on November 4 at #15 in Love, Sex & Marriage Humor (yes, that really is a genre), and a second book is in progress.
When I’m not practicing law (somebody has to pay the bills around here) or writing, I co-host Women of Uncertain Age, a weekly podcast about relationships that pretty much makes me undateable in this town and possibly on Planet Earth.
